Thinking of buying a pair of knee supports for riding, I haven't sufferd any major knee injuries, just my knee's get sore from riding especially standing more on the Nytro, any Idea's would be great.

my cousin swears by his, i'm thinking of getting some after hitting my knee last weekend on the handlebars after hitting a rock and going over the bars.

was wearing thor force knee/shin guards. but, after a catastrophic dislocation to my left knee on the supermoto bike at the indoor motocross park in march.... cost me 5.5 hours of surgery, torn acl, lcl, mcl, ruptured both meniscus, and crushed the posterior capsule corner, i wear pod mx braces. www.podmx.com

there are alot of options evs, cti, asterisk, don joy ect... i opted for the pods. they stay put and are comfortable for my riding style. good luck in your choice.

there is a thread in the general section on www.snowest.com right now, might be a few pages down but lots of feed back. also you can check at www.thumpertalk.com in the health and fitness section. ski

I wear a set of fox knee/chin protectors. They are not meant to protect from twisting or hyper extension, but more of a impact if you fall. I ride with them every time and they don't bother me at all.

I've blown my left knee twice and have custom knee brace that I wear for most physical activities, but for sledding I ride with fly knee motox guards. Knee brace is awkward on my sled and it seems to cause me more discomfort than what its worth. I found that bruising from impact hurts more and I'm less likely to twist on my sled.

I too have had knee reconstruction but I cant stand braces. I figure if im gonna crash a knee brace is not going to do a thing for me.

I use Asterisk cells, I used to hate wearing them for MX then a blown acl forced me to use them (wasn't wearing them when I crashed, arg). Last year was the first time I used them for sledding and I'll never go back to not, even though the surgeon has me all fixed up now. My knees, both of them, felt so much better after a day of riding, way less bashed up. And after the first five minutes I didn't even notice they were on. Try some for a day and see for yourself.

Can you see yourself sledding without a helmet? Nope. I now feel them same way about braces.

I wear the same thing. Helps keep your legs warm also. If you ice fish, they are great to be wearing when you have to kneel down.
