I started a thread of what type of oil to use OW-30 or OW -40 most said OW-40 so I buy 4 1 liter OW-40 Mobile 1
it does not say JASO MA on the container fellow sled head pointed this out.
He uses Asmoil OW-40 wet clutch compatible.
Does the new Viper have wet clutches ?
Don't get me wrong I know what clutches are just not familiar with motorcycle engines this is the first 4 stroke for me.

A wet clutch would be something that you would find in an ATV or motorcycle that shifted gears and shared fluids with the engine. In this case no I don't know of any snowmobile that has a wet clutch.

Wet clutch compatable only means it contains no friction modifiers that would cause clutch damage. Most automotive oils do and will be marked "energy conserving" on the label. either should be fine in your sled.
