I just overhauled my 06 mono skid and used 135mm doo wheels. I remember reading that some guys were machining the rear mounts a little. Is this correct? Do i have to do that? thanks

I did but didnt get a clear answer. Some people did some didnt, some used this brand of wheels and some used that brand etc.Swiss Sledder said:Please open the F.A.Q. thread at the top of this forum. There are links to existing threads that answer your questions.

What is happening is we are purchasing these two bolt mounts from skidoo dealers and using those to mount the wheels and going to 135mm wheels instead of 130mm wheels. Here is the link the the thread that should sum it all up for you.

This worked out awsome for me and Rockerdan did a great job showing how they all work. You do have to grind down the bottom of the bracket though because it will hit your slide if you do not. I simply bought an aluminum grinding disk from the hardware store and used the electric grinder by hand to take them down to size. Now it works great and shouldn't have to worry about replacing wheels anytime soon.
Regards,
Kyle

DO NOT USE STOCK MOUNTS WITH 135mm oversized wheels, you RISK cracking your rails!
please use two bolt mounts to ensure rail wont BEND/CRACK
