Drain plug tore tank!!!!

Started oil changes on my sons 2007 phazer and my 14 year old used a small wrench and loosened the drain bolt and tore the whole insert out of the oil tank!!! Why would this tank be so weak??? My son is not that strong!!!! What are my options besides a new tank? Any aftermarket ones out there?

New tank is the only option I know of. Tank are pretty thin but to tear the drain out is really odd.

I had mine on my Apex welded back on, dont know if Phazer is the same or not

I notice that I could bend the metal around my drain plug on my nytro. I had to be very careful so I didn't rip it out.

I ripped out my drain plug several years ago. I took the tank off, cleaned it up good, and had it welded. It is much stronger now for sure!
