Hi Fellas;

couple of dumb questions,

1)curious as to how difficult is it to get access to the carb drain bolts/screws? if its easy enough to get at, I want to drain the float bowls, I have already run stable through the tank and ran it long enough to get to the carbs and was going to just leave it like that, however I am reading it might be best to drain the bowles.

2)now for the real dumb question, but I am really not sure if there is a fuel pump or not, so if I don't run the tank dry, can I still empty the bowles, or will they simply refill by gravity fed?

The carb bowl drain bolts are on the front of the bowls. If you remove the air box and look at the bowls from the front, you will see an allen head screw in the bottom, I believe right, corner. These are you drain screws. There are two fuel pumps, so I don't believe the bowls will refill themselves once drained without cranking the motor.

thanks for the quick reply, I will take a look and see, hopefully the air box is fairly easy to remove and replace.

...cheers Greg

To remove the airbox, just loosen the four screws that hold the boots tight on the carbs and as you pull it up to remove it, you will see two different hoses attached to the bottom that need to be detached from the airbox.
