My sister in law ended up getting a leftover 07 Venture Lite this year. I knew previously that the drive belt is different than that of the other new Yammys.

I'd like to know how much are they different? are they interchangeable? Carlisle lists the same belt number for all the 4 strokes, so they can't be that far off, can they?

The Phazer belt is a softer compound, and I believe it is slightly shorter, (maybe longer), but the length is slightly different.

8DN:
Top Width: 34.1mm (+/- 0.6)
Thickness: 16.0mm (+/- 0.8)
Angle: 28* (+/- 1)
Circumference: 1133mm (+/- 4)

8GS:
Top Width: 34.1mm (+/- 0.6)
Thickness: 16.0mm (+/- 0.8)
Angle: 28* (+/- 1)
Circumference: 1135mm (+/- 3)

I see the differences, but you marked them both as 8DNs.

With regards to the manufacturing tolerances (+ & -), they are the same size then, just different durometers, correct?

So the one for the Phazer is a softer compound ?? So worst case you could use a 8DN belt on a Phazer ??

Thanx

Fixed post above.

srxspec-- so do you think you could use the 8dn belt on the Phazer even though it's a little longer ??
