Dual rate center spring

No.I think SRX spring I had on there was dual rate though.Nothing I have done to center shock did much of anything ride quality wise.Only reason I have the Hygear dual rate on there was attempting to get sled low as possible without losing suspension.Figured dual rate would allow more sag to get front end lower.Nothing to do with ride quality really.Just need to figure out how to do same to rear.

Canondale in my opinion and my close friend who has raced pro snow x for ten years the rear shock does near all of the work on the rear end of the sled and I back you 100%. cheers

Thank You!Now if we can just convince EVERYONE to at least get the rear shock revalved or new I bet would be alot more happy Phazer owners.Do need to be careful though since Yamaha has actually been tweaking valving on some shocks.Have heard great things about new Monoshock sleds.You never know 2009 or 10 might have good stock shocks?

Rear shock does way more but I still have had alot of issue with the front shock. but I ride the thing hard and hitting g-ous and aproaches bottems the front shock out. We got a good set-up now die to Bruce at Bee line and Rick Strobal at fox shocks.

I used to have custom axis shocks in 03 and they work good but the fox shocks we built and have been tsting are every bit as good.

I do give up ride quality in my set-uip to handle most of the big stuff though. But thats me for trail riding I would set- it up differently though

For sure you are way faster!I would also give FOX a chance.I have really been impressed with the quality of thier shocks in last few years.I would kill for a set of Evols for the front of my Phazer!

they seem to work realy well. For cc racing the X's are overkill. For snox the x come in more handy

I would want the x's for the Evol chamber(air adjustable bumpstop).Allows you to run lower ride hieght without losing bottoming resistance at least in quads.I really think getting these things lower and keeping awesome suspension is the key to next step in performance.

That is true the R's do a pretty good job of that. The issue is to lower the ride height exposes the chaincase cover to objects. Which is a bad thing.... broek a few in CC raicng. I race a 1/2 inch shorter shock than stock last year in the front end

Yes that is a issue.Has anyone made some plating for you?Titanium skidplate going a little up the sides would be the ticket eh?

Sorry i did a quick read through this thread and it sounds like the center shock in the skid really affects the stiffness correct? What do you guys recomend for stiffening my gt? Emailed yami to try to get a stiffer spring. Well see what happens.

No.If you can only afford one track shock get the rear.Makes the biggest difference.
