2015 Viper LTX SE blue and white-Ulmer clutching, 8dn belt, MBRP trail can, J&T 4th wheel kit, Shaper bars,
Do the vipers come with the DuPont Hyfax on them or the cheap ones? How are they wearing?

Not DuPont and the "cheap ones" are wearing great. I have 2300 miles on the stock set on my RTX

I just changed mine at 3600 miles and there were signs of wear right in front of the first wheel on the outside of the skid. It has not worn anymore after I put wheels on. I wanted to throw the duponts on.

Only 1100 miles on my XTX but no signs of wear. I have to admit that between the oil seperator ball getting stuck and blowing oil out of the engine and blowing the motor up I am running alot on pre lubricated snow :o|

3100 kms, little wear on stock sliders. For next season I am going to fully clip the track and install dupont sliders.Had them on my Apex XTX. rolled much easier and could run on hard trail with hardly any lube and had no issues.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are the pros/cons of a full clipped track? Other than the obvious weight savings are there any other pros?

As I recall, they had more clips back in the 90's

1400 miles went trough 2 sest put the DuPonts on now only have 200 miles still look like new. Mine wore in the bend.

What version RTX, LTX or XTX you either are running the track to tight or very marginal snow. The XTX should be the worse for wear with 1.6" track and fewer idlers and I am running Turbo with much higher top end than N/A with no wear at all in 1100 miles.

3300 kms and very little wear, had the suspension out and sliders looked great . very little wear by the bend.

LTX, snow conditions is part of it track tension is ok and the rest of the hyfax is ok. I am always good for a couple of sets a year and it doesn't help i am 290 LBS.

The duponts work better with a fully clipped track, I have installed them on a few apex's without fully clipped tracks, work ok and last a long time, the sled with the fully clipped track rolled much better, had to use the brakes more.

Well I'm 250 dressed and my head is another 50 pounds and after 3600 miles my first set still had room for wear, but I had the skid out and decided to throw the duponts on. Maybe check out my post on wheels. Cause after I put them on no wear!!
