Paul Fournier was kind enough to bring his 2006 Yamaha Attack to ECP today. Preliminary runs have netted extremely repeatable results with the big number being 139.2 HP at 10,400 RPM's. Torque peak was 79.4 foot pounds at 8600 RPM's.
I was very surprised to see the low end torque a lot less than a stock RX1. For instance, the Attack at 5000 RPM's makes 57.9 foot pounds where the RX1 with the stock airbox makes 65.3 foot pounds. Furthermore, the torque at 7300 RPM's for the Attack was 72.1 versus the RX1 at 79.5. However from 8200 RPM's the fuelie runs away from the RX1. The Attack has real long legs!
Like I have always said, deduct approximately 10% from what the magazines and the OEM's claim for power and you will be real close. I intend to map the fuel injection with one of the FI controllers available. I will report all my findings.

How much Peak power did the RX-1 make on your Dyno? How many Miles are on that sled

Peak power on the RX1 was 134.0 HP. I don't remember how many miles but it was definately over 1500. Paul's Attak has 928 miles on it.

Freddie the OEM stats I would guess are from the crank where as you are testing from the track that is where the numbers will differ. They of course will use the higher crank number to sell more sleds. You are testing the true hp that we can all feel and use.

Afraid not Sled Dog. I am directly to the PTO shaft. It actually isn't crankshaft, it is the PTO shaft, just like the RX1. I don't use a Dynojet track dyno. Way too many variables to learn anything about internal combustion!

UPDATE:
Removed the airbox lid and ran it with the airbox wide open. Still had velocity stacks intact...simply airbox lid was removed. On dynorun .004 it made considerably less power pretty much everywhere except extreme low end. Sensing it to be lean, I made that one full throttle run and then allowed it to sit at idle for a full 2 minutes. I then made another dynorun without shutting the engine off. I then made another dynrum with a "rat cage" style fan blowing at the velocity stacks. Power peaked at 10,500 RPM's at 141.5 HP. There are some lean spots now at certain areas of the curve. At least this way when I receive my Boondocker EFI controller and my Dobeck TFI controller, I will know where to richen and where to lean, regarding what RPM's to enrichen and lean.
I love this poop! Talk about 10 pounds of dung in a 2 pound bag though! Definately not the easiest sled to work on! Next I will try removing the airbox altogther and doing the same things as the last 2 dynoruns.

No airbox is wayy too lean! Don't any of you guys and gals try running the sled without and air box or lid for that matter. I consider some areas of the powercurve to be too lean.

Heading home for the night. I have been experiencing some back spasms lately from an Arctic Cat ZR900 EFI that kicked my whole #*$&@ last week for 5 days!
Also, keep in mind the weather is very poor today. 100% humidity and 56 degrees F. Barometer is very low too at 29.93 inches of mercury. Water displaces oxygen in the air at a rate of 1 to 1. This means that for every molecule of water in the air, away goes 1 molecule of air/oxygen.

How do the sleds barometer measure against yours in the shop? If you need another Apex, let me know. I'm also in central mass. I met Paul last month at our dealer. Nice guy. Good luck with the tuning. I think your the first guy to anounce his findings on an open site. Cool!

What about running w/o the lower filter in the airbox? This is with the lid still intact.
