Thanks for posting this link, its a good read. ;)!

E-100 has been around for hundreds of years. Down south it's more commonly know as MOONSHINE or SHINE or WHITE LIGHTING.

This has been beat to death, Nothing but opinion's. Google Ethanol fact's. You can read one study and go to the next study and read 100% contradicting (FACT'S). Just depends who is paying to have the study done. Every one believes the one they want to believe. LOL

personally I've NEVER had an issue with E10, and us Minnesotans have had it for 20+ years now. YES you may have to jet a 2 stroke slightly richer or change out fuel line or gasket set to alcohol friendly stuff but it isn't that hard. Never had water issues OR seperation issues with it sitting for over a month either, Hell, the E10 is sometimes 2-3 years old in my plow truck.

Etec & 2011 Yam 150 both recomend Premium Gas to get the most HP from engines. Most Premium Gas just that straight gas no E regardles what is it says on pump. 4s always less gas sensitive than 2s. Bad gas can burndown a 2s not so with 4s may not run the best but will get thru it next for fill up.

I dont know about all Yamaha's, but my apex is recommeded 87 oct. Its stamped on a plate attached to the tunnel, it actually says 85 or 86 oct, but that is for Japan, we dont have it available over here.

Do some Yamaha 4 strokes require premium?

My 07 Phazer takes premium, or the ignition retards itself for lower octane.
I've never had an Ethanol problem either. I'll quit riding when i have to change, or mod my sled to the gas i'm forced to use.
