Easy spark plug change technique

Left side for me!

tank off is good to inspect donuts, but if for some reason on your snowmobile trip you need to swap plugs i dont think you will be wanting to take your tank off!

Everyone says to use NGK CR10EK but why does the manual say NGK CR9E?
Any issue with them?

Thank you for the info.
Just bought myself a -08 R-TX extended to X-TX and want to see that everything is up to par.

i went through left hand side. more convienient, less hasle but takes WAY more patience. after loosening the plug i took a peice of hose to remove the plug and insert new one. quick tip that worked for me, and a tad wd-40 to put that there plastic thingy mabober over the plug

anybody know what size the socket is for the plugs? I am missing my plug wrench in tool bag and can not get a socket to grab?

The same size as your replacement plugs.

I have done it both ways. Removed the seat and slide the tank back, only disconnecting the sending unit wire. I'd say each take about the same amount of time. When changing them with the tank on, use the plug wrench in your tool kit, as it has a special pivot built in to allow it in the tight place. My issue was that I couldn't get the far right coil off, so I removed the battery to get at them from the right too. That made changing them with the tank on much easier.
