Hello everyone, Dealer just called to tell me that it wasn' t my ECU but it appears as though my driveshaft bearing went, that in turn screwed up the speedometer sensor, therefor sending a code to the ECU to stop the snowmobile. The good news is that it' s all going to be covered by the Y.E.S warranty. Yahoo!!
Although one has to question why a driveshaft bearing would fail at 3000 miles... but I guess sh%$t happens!

That PTO side driveshaft bearing needs to be changed every year (if you don't figure out a way to regularly grease it). If yours is on it's 3rd season it survived very well.
What happens is the grease gets displaced by water over a few 1000 miles and then when parked in a warm environment the bearing rusts, pitting the ball bearings. As long as you keep riding, they seem to survive OK with all of the water inside.
The best option IMO is to change this bearing at the end of every season during your summer storage prep. In reality I usually change mine mid-summer along with all of the idler bearings.
