What happens when the battery gets unplugged? Is there a small battery that keeps clock set correctly?

Rotax! I used same plug that is pictured above. I have a New Attak picked it up last week. Chippewa has been great to work with. Last year had 05 warior, great sled, hope this one even better. studdog PS mounted my plug on black section that speedo is on not red tank piece.

I tried the Skidoo modular helmet for two years, the mask smashed against my face, so I went electric. I wired it to the blue and white wire on the handlebar, it would only heat half of the shield. I got a new shield and the same thing happened. I switched to direct wire to the battery, same results. I now use a HJC unheated. I would like to use the Skidoo, but need to have a heated sheild. Any suggestions?

I thought the shield either worked or didn't work, it should never half work. you are completing a circuit when you plug it in. unless you have a damaged seal I don't think your shields were even working.Indy said:I tried the Skidoo modular helmet for two years, the mask smashed against my face, so I went electric. Face shield plug
I used the same helmet plug on my new Vector GT. I just tapped into the leads from the accessory plug. This circuit is already protected by a fuse. It was easy to do and took a very little time. Stripped back the wire and connected it. If you go to the battery you have to install a separate swithch or else it is hot all the time. If you pick up the lead from the accessory outlet, it is only hot when the ignition is on.....

Thats weird both of ours are wired to the blue and white under the foam pad and both work great.

Re: Face shield plug
This is what I am doing with my attak expect I am running the Acc wire to trip a relay and wiring the relay right to the battery. Sort of a auto switch for my shield and a few other Elec devices..

i went to radio shack and bought a 12 volt fused dc power plug. the top unscrews and you just plug a male rca into it. i taped up the connection and slid a piece of heat shrink tubing over it for a nice clean look.
for $3.89 i am pretty happy with it
radio shack part # 270-1509
