Sled Dog , route the crankcase hose to the right side of the sled and put a small K&N filter on it.

Thinking of buying an intercooler that hooks up to the carbs and taking the stock air box off completly then hooking the fan up to the intercooler.

Hey if it works like you said sleddog it will be like a mod without ever having to refill it! That would be great!

Man, this is exactly what i've looking for my Miata, I like the super (double) for my little car. As far as the electrical, it pulls from the battery directly, and only in short bursts, maybe a stronger battery, but so what. But how to put it on the sled has me baffled, it is made for the 3.5" intake tubes. Any ideas?

Indy I was thinking of using a turbo intercooler then just hook the fan wth air filter onto it, jetting the carbs to an ecp kit and keeping up to & beating stock Apex's at WOT.

Does anyone in the know, know that if this thing only kicks in at WOT would I have to rejet or just leave er be?

from the sounds of the writeup no jetting should be necesary . With pressurizing the floatboal to the same as intake it shold give enofe fuel to do the job .

sleddog, why are you talking about an intercooler with this thing? it does not generate any heat, it just blows air into the airbox above atmospheric(according to the manufacturer anyway).

I think he plans to use the intercooler to simplify hooking it up, as opposed to finding a way to attach it to the airbox.
Just curious, has anyone had an intercooler on a flowbench, as compared to a stock airbox??

I think you will have to have 2 inlets, one for normal driving, that closes up to pressurize the airbox when the fan kicks on, or the boosted air will blow out the normal intake. Would you use some sort of spring unit or relay controlled servo?
Lets us know how it works! Sounds like it will!!

Should not need 2 outlets just run into airbox and seal up original inlet according to the writeup it will breath normaly through the fan .

but, when you kick the fan on, if it is before the filter, as discussed, the air will follow the path of least resistance, right out of the air inlet wont it?
