Electric supercharger

Guys that is why I am getting a intercooler just to make the hookup that much easier and if it cools the air that can only help also. Ken the unit will turn on only at just prior to WOT will pressure up to hopefully 2 PSI the only inlet will be the fan itself. When it is not running the sled will draw enough air past the fan to not hinder any performance and would have to be even better than the original air box for restriction. When the fan kicks in no air restriction as it should be able to feed all the air the rx-1 can swallow.

I've got an extra bender Intercooler if you want to buy it $150 ...........Has a crack that can be welded .

Have you got a picture the crack is no problem. I just need to see so I can figure out the hook up. What is the size of the inlet?

You going to put a boost gage on to see if you see any 1-2 psi of boost?

Actually that is the first thing I am going to have to do. Order one in hook it up to something air tight with a press gauge and see if this thing can actually give me 1 or 2 PSI first. If it does then I go from there. ;)!

Sleddog- have you seen a boost gauge anywhere that sweeps from 0-10 lbs or maybe up to 15? I have been looking, but everything goes 0-30 one side, 0-30 vacuum on the other. I think to see 1-2 lbs actual boost, or 6-10 like I want for my s/c, we need a specific gauge.

Really. No I have not seen one nor have I looked but I will. Have you got an intercooler? How much? and what is the inlet size?

Ok it is ordered! My curiosity got the best of me to see if this thing is going to work or not. First to do is to check to see if this thing can actually pressure up to 1 psi out of the box or it is getting returned.

Ken for every 1 psi or 7 kpa press it should move fresh water up .71 of a meter. 2 psi or 14 kpa would push fresh water up 1.43 meters. 6 psi like you ask would move fresh water up 4.26 meters. I use this Hydrostatic press formula all the time at work so I know for a fact it is accurate.
(depth in meters) x (weight in kg/m) X (.00981 gravity) = press in kpa. The weight of fresh water is 1000 kgs per m3 and the gravity coefficent is constant. In other words if this thing can move fresh water up 1 meter I know I have more than 1 psi pressure. I used the formula in reverse to get the height of water moved because the press was known. ;)!

This is pretty much what I need minus the cooler part of the intercooler and the turbo set up of course. I could then mount this e-ram where the cooler is sitting now and go straight into the manifold that supplies air to all carbs.

Contact givemeaboost he's got an aluminum airbox which would likely do exaxctly what you are looking for.

Thanks I sent him a pm. If you are going to be getting a hold of him or talk to him could you please ask him about it for me. Thanks you!

Well it looks like I am going to have to build an air box for this thing. probably best that way anyhow.
