So I want to hear what you have use to start the Phazer if the starter fails or low battery. I'm assuming that a piece of rope on the primary clutch but how is it attached and released after it starts. What length of rope is used and how many wraps. I did see a youtube video but it didn't show much detail and they weren't very successful. Will the phazer pull start with a dead battery?

i did it before..ill see if i can find the vid on you tube..

here is the video.. that would be me with the back pack on.. and fellow ty phazer owner Porkchop in the snow camo.. only thing i changed on my pull starter is i made the cord 2ft longer.. you can see in the video.. i could only wrap it about 3 times it was a little short..but it worked all day long.. we had to do it about 4-5 times.. ahhhh..good times on the phazer ride!!!

i also made a small set of jumper cables..they work awesome..but only work if the starter still does..

I have a cord with cig lighter (acc plug) ends on both ends of it and take along my small battery box, and jump the box to sled when very cold to aid the battery.

Oh, and cord is long enough to go from one Phaazer to other if both have acc plugs

Thanks for the video link. That looked like a pain to do. Looked like you got just short of 4 wraps on it. I wonder it you tied a small knot on the end of the rope would it help grip the clutch better?

I just wrap a tie down strap around and there is enough friction to hold onto the clutch.

It will not start if the battery is so dead that the fuel pump wont prime.

Tie strap is a good idea but I would like to incorporate a handle. Wrapping around the hand would seem like a unsafe thing to do.

It's too bad they didn't design it like the Arctic Cat batteryless EFI. First pull primes and second starts.

I used the hook at the end of the ratchet tie down strap as my handle.

I'll give it a shot when I get back from holidays. God know I have enough partial racket straps.
