Are there any recommendations on starting a reinstalled motor after pulling it. I had the pan ,oil pump out, cam out, fuel lines off.
Can I pull a fuse to prevent spark to pump oil and air out of the fuel lines before firing? Any other thoughts on this?

Crank it over with the kill switch off to prevent it from starting and this will get the oil pumping and you can turn the key on and off with the kill switch on to prime the fuel system. Did the same thing after I shimmed my valves.

Remove the vent hose on top of the oil tank and plug the oil tank port with your thumb. Turning the engine over with the vent plugged will cause pressure to build in the tank and force oil to the pump which helps prime the system.

I also added oil to the top at valve cover. Ended up at 4 qts total after running. Seemed to get enough pressure just cranking it over with kill engaged. Never made any noise once I started it. Glad you got it back together. Did you find anything in there?

Far from back together, just dreaming at this point on what I need to do.
Found this at the bottom of the oil pan.

UGH thats ugly! Take your time you are doing it right and will be able to ride knowing you did all you could. Rotors get scored in Oil pump?
