I was told by a the new motor information is all incorrect. Only the throttle changes is correct. I even went looking for the info on Yamaha Corp Site and there is nothing new on the motor itself. I am only trying to be sure the correct info is be posted.

Btw...you are wrong about the wireless throttle, and 3 position setting...it's perfect for the Vector...and the rider yamaha is trying to target...what would u rather have a 900 ace?? Or a Vector?? They will be the only two sleds on the market with this tech...and it's very nice for new comers to the sport....the Vector with eps...can now be set up to run at a controlled speed for a beginner...my 100 lbs daughter can now drive a Vector and grow into it
I am not WRONG about anything, it is simply my OPINION. Others here have opinions too.
Where is Yamaha saying that they are targeting the Vector at the "X" rider class? Enlighten me?
We are all VERY HAPPY that you have your past Cat problems behind you and you are back on a Yamaha. But IMO...your giddiness about your "new to you" Apex XTX is getting a bit overboard.....again.....IMO.
I started a thread in the RS forum about the 2016's. C'mon over if you are so inclined.

Really, double the price.....WoWParts agreements have been used for generations from manufacturers in every form if industry.
Your idea of biting the bullet and buying the rights to a machine and building themselves is simply a recipe for doubling the price of sleds.
Look at the companies that tried to do what your talking about? (Blade, Redline, etc)
Cool stuff, but too many expenses and too high of a sticker price and they're history.
It's a sled, not a pacemaker. You're not going to get high end perfection from a small segment machine, period.
There's no sense in anyone complaining about it. But the one that's closest to making you happy, and follow the rest of us modification junkies here and make it your own!
I personally wouldn't want the "perfect sled". I love to modify stuff to make it better, understand it to its fullest and make it mine.
I never mentioned "high end perfection". I would just like to see the viper built to Yamaha's standards not arctic scraps build standard! I just believe most of the recalls that happened around the viper should have never happened and could have been caught at the factory.
My post was not a bitch fest you make it out to be. Just an opinion of a better business plan to follow. I like the viper a lot and I just would like for it to meet its potential. Not to see people insulting it over the issues that are out of yamahas hands.
Finally, I own a Nytro and I will never give it up! If you look at my signature you will see that I am modding it to my liking! Just like you suggest.
My post was not complaining just constructive criticism, that's it that's all. Not looking to argue, at all! Too much of that happening on here lately. I am pro yamaha, so if you read anything different from my post then I guess I used the wrong words, sorry.

So starting another thread bitching about people bitching accomplishes what?
Thats my feelings exactly!!!
First off if anyone on the viper forum posts info without owning a own a viper, you should probably just stfu.
these are the comments mr sled and the mods should be looking at.
Secondly, ya bitching gets old, but everyone on this site has the option to block specific posters if what they say hurts your feelings. and you dont need to keep reading a thread if it bothers you. Every once in a while look away or go view a different area of the forum.
I have be very unhappy with my viper. And i have every right to be. I searched for a sled i thought would fit my needs and had ridden a nytro so i thought i new what to expect. I was wrong. But with the help of this site and more seat time on the sled it is slowly and i repeat slowly becoming a sled i really like and am sure will eventually love.
Some people on here might view some my comments as negative. Thats fine, thats your right as a human to disagree or to percieve things differently than i do.
I view my posts as my opinions and my real life experiences. Im the guy that dished out my money, im the guy that needs the guidance and the help. In my opinion, if we start sugar coating everything posted on this site and only the good gets posted mr sled might as well shut it down.it will become completely worthless in my opinion.
#*$&@ if i want to only read good things i will just buy a sled magazine.
I want REAL posts by REAL users with REAL problems and REAL solutions this is the kind of stuff that makes the site great!
Too many people on here that get thier feelings hurt reading internet forum posts.
Toughen up a little. Learn to use the block feature and post in forums you actually have real life experiences with.
The entire site and all its users will all benefit in the end

Heritage, maybe you should do some reading. I did say that I agree with the lineup and the changes/upgrades made. The main focus of my "opinion" is they have done nothing to the Phazer in 9 years, and still ignore the 90 to 110 hp class. Everyone likes to talk about the cost of developing a new model, or crazy chassis changes, but it's impossible to gain any market share in a given segment if you have nothing to offer. You disagree with that?
Say what you will about the Vector engine, but to me, it is not new. Significantly improved, yes but not new. New to me is taking one of their already developed engines; 847cc triple, 689cc twin, or hell even the 321cc twin and filling a segment to give your Yamaha guys something to consider instead of always having to look to the competition. And these engines are already developed, so I would hope the cost of getting one to work in a current Yamaha chassis would be more than reasonable, especially if your customers are asking for it.
And the VK? The fact that they actually did make significant changes makes the whole situation with not doing something in the mainstream markets is pure head scratcher, IMO. Sells well in Europe, Russia, etc. seriously?

Really?? And your negativity is getting old...excuse the hell out of me for enjoying my ride...and expressing it on a "yamaha fan site"....why don't you go buy that ski doo u long for and stop dragging people down who disagree with your opinion...I mean jeeze...I don't sit over at doo talk and drag ski doo and its loyal riders through the mud...so why do that here??I am not WRONG about anything, it is simply my OPINION. Others here have opinions too.

And btw I don't think a 100 hp phazer would sell well....and apparently yamaha agrees or they'd have one.

You are confusing me with somebody else. I don't drag anybody through the mud here. You said I was WRONG and I said it's my OPINION. That's dragging you through the mud?
I do not long for a SkiDoo....I have no clue where you get this from? I just bought a new Yamaha Vector LTX before the season. If I wanted a Doo I would have bought a Doo.
Move on OK? I thought you were going riding?

Let keep this on topic, or I'll dog pile it.
Constructive criticism, or searching for solutions to issues is ok. Arguing back and forth about stupid stuff or stirring the pot with comments that serve no purpose other than to cause conflict- no.
