Esta "where were all the Turbo guys"

tERRY QUEENAN was there but had issues. There was a bender turbo apex, ran 158 but took too long to get there.

A Turbo Qualified 1st in the battle of the twins and power adder open class. I'd call that a pretty fast turbo. Fasted ET of any turbo to ever run at ESTA. Glenn Halls stock suspension 1200 D and D twin firecat boondocker Turbo. The sled has the WI trail stickers on it.

Well, Jeff was nowhere to be seen with his turbo sled. Would have been nice to see him back up his record but no, another shootout at ESTA and no Jeff Simon........

We had a bad plug wire that kept beating up the electronics. We ran much better sunday, and managed to get 154mph out of it. Lots more left in it.

That turbo sled has boost issues, ran great for 150 feet and then sounded flat on sunday. I have had three years of dealing with a turbo. Just trying to help out a yami guy.

We actually did that on purpose cause we only had that one belt left. We wanted to get it hooked up first and lay the boost on slow so we could still make some rounds. Not the right way to go fast but probably the only way to keep running with what we had. If we were still in the shootout we would have definately gone for broke.

Where was Jeff Simons? Where where all the fast Turbo sleds???

I believe he sold the sled last winter to a speed runner.I'm not shure if he buildt another one?

I am just way too busy in the summer months with the cars and trucks to go asphault racing with a sled also.

It takes a serious commitment I can not meet during the summer.

I know all too well how important it is to attend an event like this the exposure is phenominal, so it is more a loss to me than you guys from a business stand point.

Sorry guys maybe next year but definately this winter coming!

Ted.

Guys I also plan on getting back into the asphalt turbo sled next season. Just too much going on with my work and personal life right now. Once we get through this, we will be back giving it our best.

I'b be pretty surprised if that sled sees the trails again. They have a ton of time and money into that sled.

P.S. Glen told me he was also running a "small" shot of Nitrous in addition to the turbo. I didn't have the nerve to ask him how "small" of a shot it was. I'm guessing 50HP or so.

I just ordered new trail stickers for it. The nos hit was 20hp same as the tune at Dynotech shows.

stoutner when it was a just a 1200 before the turbo he was running it all over on the lake last winter.
