EXCELL HI FLO HEADER

so with the header install you will have to mess with your fuel? Or can you just slap the header on and have it run good?

you can put the header on and be fine. i have full exhaust on my 08. it runs just fine. not saying you wont get more power with more fuel but i have had no issues without

first off theres no "messing" around...the maps are established...plug it in and go....

as I understand it some have had issues with a full exhaust and intake with stumbles and the sled already runs really lean...so if it was me Id seriously spring for the few more bucks...the added ponies are a plus anyway..

Whats the best bang for your buck do you think as far as a programmer?

Ulmer said is his post that the programer doesn't add power...just smoth things out....maybe I misunderstod his post

The programmer to efi is the same as jetting your carbs. You are unleashing it's potential. It's ALIVE!!

the commander does not actually add the power. its just adding more fuel where it is needed. your sending more air through, gotta get some extra fuel in there to compensate. By putting more fuel in it will make it run smoother and unleash more power :4STroke:

put it to you this way... The PCIII is like jetting.. You add more air flow, you need more fuel or take away fuel. The exhaust/filters mods are in no way hurting the motor because the fuel flow is good on the Nytro, but to have that motor to be in it's happy spot, then you need to have the correct AFR, which means it will pick up a couple of hp, because the motor is now in the sweet spot. This is where Hurrican was able to find power, by tuning the Air fuel ratio. Ulmer was correct, it does not need it, but the driveability in the field is much better. Crisper throttle response and acceleratiion is what you will find from tuning the AFR.
