EXCELL HI FLO HEADER

That's great!!! Make the selection a tad easier;)......

The Excell site says 400rpm's more...does that mean the top end RPMs will be around 9500rpms. Since I'm running my best speeds at 9100rpms right now???

The Excell header has stepped tube technology which will pick up more in the low and midrange than the MBRP style header. Excell has lowered their price as of today to $499.95!
;)!

Yes you will have to add weight to your weights as the rev limiter will kick in at 9400 rpm.

will the ignition module overide or raise the rev limiter?

also...for the full system with filter and pc3...has the map changed or evolved from early on....or is it still the same?

I have the Excell header pipe and it cracked. Nothing a tig welder couldnt fix, i just need to look at just how the custom mounts i have as we believe it is too rigid for my setup. Looked at Ulmers display at Haydays and it looks like they re-enforced this section on the new ones.
Please please do not take this as saying thier craftmanship is junk or anything like that. I really like the sound of it and am like homer simpson in a donut shop waiting for enough snow so i can start rippin it up.
If you are going to buy one off the classified or a used one - something to note.

StoliDoli, you need to contact Excell. There is a sleave that slides over that area and then gets welded on to help strengthen it.

Sweet, did you get my PM?

Got it, but you are number 37 on my list of PM's to return! LOL! I will hopefully get to it tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yes the ignition module has the ability to move the rev limiter up to 9900 rpm.

Map was updated last year for the full system setup.

if able to run 9500 and not loose too much surely would gain some top end / ground speed!

You might lose a rod or a valve, either of which can have a serious impact on your top end.

I have an Excell vector header and LeoVince exhaust(for 1000 GSXR) and it made a very noticeable difference in power.

Yes it does and it comes straight back which makes building your own exhaust a lot easier.

i have an mbrp can on my nytro right now and was wanting to put a header and maybe some k&n's on it. is there a header i could use with these and not have to use a tuner.
