I fixed an exhaust leak about 6 inches from my o2 sensor and now it's reading 10.5 and idle. My question is if I set the fuel trims up before with this exhaust leak and set it up for 12.5 at idle and then now fixed the exhaust leak and it's reading 10.5. Would that cause it to read rich now?
Ok how about this? If the oil drain line was a little restricted and it went in to exhaust side would that affect afr? I had to change my oil drain line after the other week event and now it has incline before it goes to tank. Just wondering if that would affect it?
Having a exhaust leak will cause air to be sucked into the exhaust system thru the leak. Resulting in more air in the gas passing the sensor, Reading leaner than it is.
Fixing the leak and the extra air is now gone, sensor Reading richer.
I don't think oil blown past the compressor into the exhaust will make any difference, it has not been burnt using O2.
