Looking for some ideas to carry extra fuel on 2011 Apex SE.

Check out rotopax, they are like the kolpin fuel cans but their mounting bracket is flatter...
I'm thinking about going with the 2 gallon tank with the storage container stacked on top

What kind of range do you have, I found out the hard way you need fuel before 100 miles, empty by 115.
2011 extra fuel
We put a rotopax 2 gallon can on my dad's 2011 xtx. We were going to mount in on the rear but I did not like the exhaust blowing onot the fuel. We ended up mounting it to the right side tunnel near the rear and down to the running board. It came out pretty good.

Been looking around for ideas to gain more miles per tank without looking like a trapper, or ice fisherman on the trail lol. Did any of you have success modifying the nytro caddies, or using the turn outs on the exhaust? Allowing you to lay a roto pack on top of the extension? Thinking if an extension was added to the 128" apex one could lay a roto pax on the top of it. That is if you rotate your exhaust elbows 30-45 degrees up. I am thinking of boost again, but this smaller apex tank has me thinking twice. Bad enough you maybe get 100-110 miles out of a n/a sled. Hate to see that drop to 75 miles. Especially in the U.P. Anyone come up with anything now that this newer style of apex has been out for a few years??

I know this isn't a great solution but if I know I'm going over 100 miles without gas I baby it! Keep the speed around 55-60 miles a hour and cruise. I take that white tank neck thing out and get another litre in the tank lol. I have traveled 131 miles and still had 4 litres in the tank using this method. If your planning on running it hard like I normally do you can only count on 110 miles per tank and if your boosting like you mentioned you really are going to need something. Not to helpful I know but thought some people might be interested to know what kinda range you can get if your babying your 2011+ apex good to know when your in northern Ontario or Quebec.
