I always thought you had to have a fully clipped track to run extrovert drivers. I noticed viper tracks are not fully clipped. Anyone else think anything of this?

I know Cannondale had a thread on that, or he was talking about that somewhere...lol I know that does not help.
I put a 1.6 lug track on my LTX and mine is a full clipped track.

I fully clipped my track be fore I even rode it , and that's what I thought that it had to be fully clipped to run those drivers !
Right or wrong that's what I did and has worked great all year!

I agree. I lost 5 clips this year. I will be fully clipping over summer also.

Me too. It's on the list.
Almost 5k miles on my apex rtx, not only clipped every three, I hole sawed out the others for extroverts. It broke in after 100 miles, used very little hifax the whole time. No top speed loss and never ratcheted.
Off topic, running a 15" wide cut to 14" wide on the Phazer.

Debating running fully clipped for next winter... How long of a job is it? And is there any real benefit? I always thought there would be less friction with the metal vs the rubber. Have had fully clipped on all my past Yamaha sleds and don't really know why the vipers have every other.

Took me about 1/2 hr a side with a real nice clip tool and air ratchet. Have not lost a clip since.

Does anyone have a part number for the clips and how many are required for a 129 track ?

Any speed gains with full clips? Want to know perks of doing this.

I did not notice any speed difference. My main reason was because I kept losing stock clips. Lose one and you have a space 5 clips wide with nothing. Looking at the wear of my drivers it sure looks to me that all the drive is being done by the external teeth and the internal nubs don't ever even touch. I believe either the track or drivers are out of spec and that has to hurt speed. Anyway the drivers are about wore in now and not losing any clips.
