I was on another site where a guy claimed he saw a stock F6 race a Stock rx-1 and smoked it badly on a lake..(i told him either it was only running on 3 cyl or had brake locked on)
I think the Vector can and will give the F6 a good run for its money!!
Ive riden the vector... LOTS OF POWER..
ANyone have any real world results to show??

Not yet. But as soon as I do, I'll be sure to post them.
i was told if u clutch ur vector that u could almost run with an f7-stock-i presume, but from what i hear, after u break in a vector, u should be able to beat a f6(both sleds not having any mods) but im not sure if thats 1000ft or wot? i'll race a f5 this weekend, and let u know how many sled lengths i have on him....he thinks it'll be close

A Vector will run with an F7? I find that somewhat hard to believe. I currently ride an F7, but this spring I was planning on trading to a Vector. I just don't understand how a sled that weighs more and has less horsepower can be faster. If anybody could explain it to me it'd be appreciated cause I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the RS before I spend my hard earned money on one.

My 04 rx warrior weights 700lbs wet and i weight 196lbs not including my clothing..(total900+)
My buddy has a 05 F7 SP which weighs about 580lbs full of gas and he weights 155lbs..(total 735+)
His sled is stock and my is clutched and has the ECP kit...
I can pull him by 2 or more sled lenghts out of the Hole and stay there, He would top out before he could catch me if he even could!
THe F7s are dynoing out at 150Hp.. Im sure mine probobly only dynos out at around 145 maybe less!...
REASON FOR THIS..... Fourstrokes have a much larger power band..
Did i mention i use 2+ gallons less fuel at fill up and he uses a quart of oil every fill up...

It's threads like this that make breaking this motor in a looooooonnnnngggggg process...

4-strokes especially the RX-1 make great power at high revs the RX-1 power stays consistent and has good over rev many two strokes as they heat up will actually lose power on a long wide open race some 2-strokes also dyno best with a cold pipe dyno run. I would say the RX-1 post deceptive top speeds due to it's consistent power and great over rev. Also the 4-strokes seem to put good power to the track. SRX spec can probably tell us the power at the track on a F6 vs a Vector it looks like they now have a track dyno.

That makes sense to me. I kinda figured that it had something to do with the much larger powerband of a 4 stroke, I just didn't think it would make that big of a difference. It too would be very interested to see how much power a Vector and RX-1 put to the ground as opposed to a F7 or F6.

I can see a RX-1 or Warrior beating a F7, but I just don't see a Vector topping a F7.
I own a Vector and love it! But due to the much larger power to weight ratio between the two sleds (Vector and F7), I think the F7 would win in the end. If it didn't, I'd be selling FAST!

I don't know about an F-6 but I know that my Vector ran side by side with my Dad's '05 Viper. I beat him out of the hole and then we were side by side. Needless to say, he was suprised and was wishing he had went for the 4-stroke.

That would be interesting. Do you have any track dyno results from these other sleds Allen?

My stock 03 rx1 with 3600 miles beats my riding buds 05 F7sp badly. Ice or snow no difference. I can even give him the hole shot and by 80 mph I am gone. He also has an 03 F7 with 1" track, this is more of a race but I still beat him EVERY time. Back when my RX was new it was a tie, but now @3600 miles its all RX1

Viper vs Vector graphs. I have the stock F6 as well, but can't seem to find the file. Both sleds are in box stock form. Note that the Viper has a .92" track and the Vector has a 1.25" track, if the Vector had the .92" track it would have more HP to the track yet.
last sunday i was at haucks and watched a rs rage whoop up on a srx700. both were stock, cept the srx had a 131 extension, with a ripsaw, and 104 pics. rage beat srx by bout 4 sled lengths. raced a 600 sxr and after bout 2 seconds in the throttle, the race was over...and the sxr600 was just bout as fast if not faster than an f5. i'd imagine that an f6 woudl be beaten easily by a vector if both stock and studded.
