When you buy a brand new sled (05 RX-1Mtn) is the clutching set for the higher elevation or do you need to lighting up your primary weights. I have a an 05 and it came with 8bu 10 with 10/10.3 rivets in the holes. Do I need to lighten up the rivets or with the setup from the factory be fine. I know that the jetting is set for the area that you bought the sled from but was wondering what they do with the clutching.

I will be heading to 8,000-11,000 and I live in North Dakota where I purchased the sled and it is only 1,600 ft. I had a chance to take it out and put on about 2 miles and it would hit 11,000rpm out of the hole and then settle to about 10,500. So what do you guys think? Will it be alright with factory clutch specs or do I need to change some things.

Any Info will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Your gonna have to lighten up the primary weights a lot. Your gonna at least have to remove the tip entirely & probably the inner rivet too.

Thanks Turk!!

Anybody else have any input any changes that need to be done with the factory 05 setup to run in the higher elevation?
