Yep
The additives used are different for semi and full. Mixing them would probably give you less protection than just standard semi synthetic.
Some racers mix oils but it’s very complicated and manufacturers discourage it. Also there are different types of synthetic base oils, each requires a different additive package. Unless it has been tested and proven, I wouldn’t do it.
Extensive testing has already been done on any oil on the market. The chances of you making it better than the engineers who do this for a living is slim to none. M2C

Sounds fair. I wasn't looking to do that, I guess I am sometimes like a kid and ask a lot of questions as I like to understand how sh** works.
Unless by putting the 0/30 into my machine to replace the factory oil that I dumped (original thread question), I already did that???lol

Certainly, you can do whatever you want, but it’s probably not a good idea.apparently you can mix all oils now

Far more beneficial to allow your machine to properly warm up before smashing it to the bar. Also letting it idle for a bit after riding will help prevent oil coking inside the turbo. If your looking to benefit from reduced engine wear do these things. Most of your engine wear is due to cold startup. Beating yer machine before 150 degrees Fahrenheit will cause excessive ring and cylinder wear no matter what concoction of oils you use.
Not recommended.
OK, thank's.

I have not used the 2 smoke oil since about 2007 and as for the 4 stroke Klotz it has worked fine for me, I would have no problem using Amsoil, Mobil One or Red Line just that a friend is a Klotz dealer so i buy from him and its done the job it was designed for.JPS - might want to cut open and look into the bottom of Klotz bottles (especially if you have any oil that has been sitting around for a while) to make SURE there is no residue/goo/ gunk/sludge in there. I USED to be a Klotz rider but after an episode of that, I went away from them. I hope yours is ok. The pic is 2-stroke oil bottle with side cut out.

Klotz oils are all full synthetic. The internet has turned into a shitshow of misinformation.
Why is it so important for you to be able to mix your oils?
“Any other oil” Really?
I say go get some Walmart bar and chain oil along with some marvel mystery oil, throw in some klotz and giver a go!

Don't mix your motor oil with vegetable cooking oil when deep frying fries.

Pro-stock cars run 0 and 2 weight oil for a reason! They don't want to give up any power or leave anything on the table. Those running 0-40 Mobile 1 should know that it is about a 35 weight or one of the lower viscosities in the 40 weight spectrum, so not quite as bad.
I run half 0-40 Mobile 1, and half 0-20 Quaker State Ultimate Durability. Both are in the top 10 in Rat540 blog to make the best 0-30 full synthetic blend IMO.
I've tested 30 and 40 weight oils back to back same day testing on an old stock RX-1 and the difference in performance was HUGE.
Rat540 blog here and it's good reading and awesome test reports.

Have you tested this with a sidewinder engine? Was your 30w a semi-syn vs a full syn 40w? Yep I have done astm oil testing on straight 30w vs 40w and the difference in cold temps was huge. Just asking what oil exactly did you use in your RX-1 ?
