So I have been reading up alot lately on how to keep my Phazer from darting around all over the place while my buddy on his Nytro looks like he is on a Sunday drive. So I figured that I would check the Limiter strap, rubbers on skis, adjustment on rear shock, and front shocks, and check the toe out. Well first thing I did was check the toe out since that is the simplest. Boy was I surprised when it measured 2" different from from of ski to back, down the centerline of skis. So I adjusted it to about 1/8" toe out and I am going to leave everything else for now and take it for a spin later today. FYI!!

I dont think i hit anything. Pretty sure I would have felt it if it put it out that much. But not too worry, took it out for 3 hrs just now and it was a completely different machine. I could actually keep it in a straight line when I wanted to. Had a blast once again! Just goes to show, even a new sled should be looked over i guess.

The way I did it was from the carbide runner bolts. Measure the rear most one and the front one and I made the front one 1/8" wider. There is enough threads sticking out the back bolt to hook the tape measure on, and the front one you will just have to hold there or get someone to help. Other people may have others ways to do it too.

Same as a car for the most part, just pretend the tires in that pic are actually skis. You are looking down from the ceiling in that toe-in pic i linked to.

Think of it like looking down at your feet. Toes out, toes in. Same as the skis, tips of skis are the toes.

Also remember that these sleds have quite a bit of "scrub" which means the toe changes a decent amount through the suspension travel. I like to have someone sit on the sled when I adjust mine and it needs to be checked quite often as it doesn't take much of a "hit" to screw it up. I've already had straighten out a lower a-arm twice from light hits that would have NEVER tweaked anything on my trailing armed SX600R.
