Is anyone having any trouble with race fuel ruining their wideband o2 sensors?

I'll say it again, for the 34568 time. LEADED RACE FUEL WILL DESTROY BOSCH WIDEBAND SENSORS. THE ONLY LEADED FUEL COMPATABLE SENSOR IS THE NTK!!!
(No harshness meant towards you nitrousmudbogger, i've just been using widebands years before anyone ever built a turbo RX1).

Lead will destroy any O2 sensor, the O2 sensor is essentially a little battery, smear it with lead oxide makes it shorten out game over. They go for a little while until they get coated how accurate they are before they go completely I would not want to guess.

I've ran over 500 gallons(easy) of leaded fuel through a NTK sensor with no change in performance. I noted the vehicles tune when the sensor was new with unleaded, and i performed the test later on and all was good.

I may be doing a group buy on the AFX gauge if anyone is interested. Probably around the $250 mark. I have one coming.

I know that sensor will take a dump but how is everyone doing it then.I know that there are very few running the NTK.The NTK is new from NGK isnt it?I have a dynojet wide band and ran it a couple of times on a rx1 that I was tuning.114mixed with 118 fuel I think he said it had in it.Sensor still works.I only used it a few times though. All the sensors that these companies are selling come with the ntk?

The NTK sensor has been around for at least 5 years or so, probably much longer.

Ran my sled last season with 100 LL without any probs to the 02 sensor . I'm sure it's gonna crap out any time now , but 1 per season is ok with me.

cool thats what I needed to know.I just need to get my rx1 fuel injection dialed in in about a weekend or two. Then I will install a narrow band to keep everything in check. They are a lot cheaper to ruin.

Turbo Tim if you change out the sensor could you run a check to se if the old one was indicating the same as the new one ?
That is the main reason I never used them with race fuel and av gas I figure that the accuracy will go long before the sensor.
Thanks.....

If my of sensor craps out will it make a difference in how my sled runs? I have only had this nytro for a month so I am new to any issues with them. I love the power of these sleds though.

^^^this, I just run the one I can get locally (Bosch) and when it dies I replace it. I've been dialed in for some time now but still like to keep tabs on things

If it's the sensor for your wide and then no it won't make a difference how it runs it will just make your a/f ratio gauge either inaccurate or non-working. If it's for a PCV or the stock one then yes it could affect the way it runs
