No offense but I cant see hows this will help anything as the fan will be fighting the air as your driving, I think you are better off putting the fan on a relay switch so you can have it on in low snow conditions. Ive never had an issue and my sled has been turboed for 7000 miles.
Fan rarely runs while driving, so there is no "fight" for air.

Yes I have a Viper if you read my post 7000 miles with a turbo on it. Just doesn't make sense to me its never done on any vehicle that way but to each there own I guess.
One for example is the Honda Goldwing GL1800, they reversed the fan from the GL1500 models as guys complained about hot air coming out in front of there legs. So they simply reversed the fan.

If you have the turbo kit and the air intake under the hood you need this as much as the other guys do. It keeps the radiator from sucking snow in and making steam out of it when very slow or stopped, when fan comes on it blows water out and keeps the radiator opening clean.

Got my fan reverse from Barn of Parts but wondered where the instructions where until I popped the hood - easiest thing ever to install! Thanks for the quick delivery and easy to use product.

For those that don't know, the fuse box relocate kits come with a harness. If you order the relocate kit we can supply the harness in the reverse option.

Just asking if this fan reverse plug has any benefit for flat landers? 100% trail ride in central Maine. Non-turbo LTX-le coming soon. Thinking that blowing hot engine air out is most beneficial, just looking for input.

Yep, non turbo blow hot air directly into the air box opening and this stops that.Just asking if this fan reverse plug has any benefit for flat landers? 100% trail ride in central Maine. Plus nice place to warm gather round to warm hands at trail stops! Just like the old Yamaha exhausts! Absolutely no downsides even in mud and 45 Deg F day.

I like the idea of not clogging the scoops with snow as this is a real problem with these sleds in the deep stuff.
I was just concerned if it in any way could starve the engine of air.
I know we had this problem with fishing boat engine rooms.
Lots of guys put exhaust fans in the exhaust trunks and found it used to even starve the furnace in the engine room thus possibly starving the engines as well.
We put input fans in the engine room intakes along with the exhaust fans in the trunks and fixed the problem.
I don't really think this would be a problem in this case but concidered it.
Any thoughts?

The engine bay is not a sealed off area such as a room would be in a boat so there is no shortage of air for the engine if the fan is reversed.

The way the fan runs from the factory blows air thru engine compartment, by reversing it will to much heat stay in motor compartment or just get blown out thru radiator ?

Fan generally only comes on when sitting or going slow. With fan reversed the cold air is pulled in and pushed out through radiator, stock form pulls hot air in.
Would this be advisable for a 2009 nytro?

Nytro did not have the same problem as Viper has with snow intake into radiator.

Just finished install of harness and plate, main harness into fuse box needed a little coaxing to allow plate screws to line up with frame. Did everyone else who did plate notice that.
