Rumour has it that next year the one ply track will be finding it's way into the Yamaha lineup.

yes its slightly heavier...but it rolls better on the sliders, and allows more snow to enter the slide area....thus giving longer slider life and making more top end....
fully clipped is by far best way to go..
Id love to test a new hacksaw 14inch on top speed VS a new predator top speed....
does anyone know the weights of each exactly?....how much lighter is a 14"hacksaw fully clipped then the predator 15" fully clipped?
Dan
The weigh are:
1"
Hacksaw
-15 x 121 full clipped = 36 pounds
-14 x 121 full clipped = 32 pounds
1"
Predator
-15 x 121 full clipped = 37 pounds

WOW....the 14" is ALOT lighter...that would be my guess then....
If that was available when i got my sled,i probably would have stuck that one on instead of the predator.

I went with the 1" Predator, and my buddy with a Mach has a 1" Hack.
He out hooks me by a ton.
The Hack is a much softer compound, and has MORE lugs surface than the Pred.
I think the Pred, because of it's harder compound, will be a better studded track than the Hack.
Better penetration, I think.

That's what the 07 F1000 comes with, 128 X 15", that is..... With 152 1.175 studs, it pulls really good out of the hole against my ripsaw. I only have 120 1.325, but this year I went to the 1.450's, then we'll see.

i ran the 14 inch hacksaw for about 3000 kms. last year (1800 )miles and the track held up really well. i run 144 woody,s megabites up the middle. i should also add it was fully clipped.
