I have heard that they are hard to dial in from a fuel management standpoint. FYI...I plan to run 5lbs while trail riding and if/when I need more I will run race fuel. Again, love my nytro for the ease of ridability element and dont want to lose that.
I had an MPI on an apex and liked it, however I have heard the Nytros are more difficult to work with.

I have run as high as 12# in the U.P. on the trail, and that was on high test pump gas and I would add a little octane booster. That being said, I was not on the throttle for any length of time at once.It was on a 500 mile trip and my Pro-logger had a bad boost sensor and so I didn't know how much it was running at. I now try and run 8# since adding a BOV to control it.. When we go out west and run in the high elevations I run it back up at the higher levels. I would agree that the fuel management part is the most challenging part. I had it dialed in perfect,here at 1,000 ft. but when we went out west at 8-10,000 ft. it was always a challenge to get it set to the different conditions, only because I was in a group of 10 guys and they always wanted to keep on the move and I was needing a little time to stop and adjust my GEM's and experiment. I think I will be changing to MPI's ECU this year, and that should take care of the messing with the fuel management system. If you have already had one of their systems then you know what a kick it is when you have it dialed in correctly. The only other direct contact I have had with boost on a sled is a friend that I ride with that had a turbo on his Apex and he seemed to get along easier with it as far a the fuel settings. But that being said he traded it last spring and has a new Nytro and is going with a powderlites kit on it. It will be interesting to see how itis to set-up as far as the fuel goes. I really don't see you having as much trouble if you are going to stay down at 5#, but I think you will have trouble keeping that low of boost. These sleds come alive at 10-12# and I bet you will be pushing the boost up after a short time, other that just straight trail riding.
