Well, I went with the 2's being I'd like to be able to run more air for bottoming resistance, yet have a softer initial feel over stutter bumps. Dale Fett recommended them, and we both agreed, especially being that the FX Nytro has a heavy front end due to the engine's placement over the front, so we'll see soon enough how they fair out. I plan on running 75 psi in each shock and seeing how they compare to my current 65psi reading. I'll report back when I get a chance to try em out

You're not even going to wait for the results of this scientific endeavor? Why, you are a maniac.

I choose to have mine re-valved. What was found inside was a .040 piston, which is the smallest orfice out there! Which means it doesnt compress unless it is getting beat all the time! I had a larger one installed- it was either a .050 or .060. 2nd part was the shim stack was a single stack, so a multi stack was put in. It will be interesting to see how they ride, but i suggest at the least if you have the stock Floats re-valved and a different shim stack. I am also going to install the Muffinworks Resi's just to increase the air chamber. Anyone know the size that these Resi's are?

Approx. 3.7 in3 in the chamber + whatever is in the lines; or approx. 28% volume increase.

So, the snow is flying in some places, not mine yet! But, anybody actually ridden a sled with the 2nd generation cannisters yet?

I actually went in another direction and spent more $$$ on the sled, ended up selling the Fett Bro's Air 2's to a guy on HCS. I had an incredible ride on my RTX yesterday with the Float X shocks up front, and man, what a difference in these shocks over the standard Floats ! The Float X shocks were soooo smooth compared to my previous Floats, I don't know why I didn't get these last year when I read the positive reviews.

Hey thanks, did you ever ride your sled with the F2's????
I have a 09 RTS SE, does that have Fox X's, or am I missing something??

Nope, never even tried them. As soon as I saw a set of Float X shocks for sale, I went for it. You have the best shocks available on a stock FX Nytro already, leaps and bounds better than any aftermarket reservoirs IMO.
