Not a major undertaking, but sure seemed to take forever. Some changes and mods for the current riding season. I was hoping this would have only taken a few weeks working in the evenings, but ended up being about a month. Way to much stuff happening away from work.
Here is what I did.
Under Tunnel Exhaust-Used a Kawasaki ZX10 Muffler
Anti stab Kit
Challenger Extreme 153
Better Boarts
Vent Kit
OFT Tunnel Block Off Plate, "this thing is sweet"
For me the Track swap was the easiest, other than the block off plate. It took 4-5 minutes for that. Making the exhaust was the most time consuming. Trips to the parts store for adapters and couplers took a lot of time.
I have vowed to own a small lathe in the near future. For me it would have made some of the job easier.

I would suggest that you turn your exhaust outlet down for three reasons. 1) the carbon will turn the side of your sled black. 2) heat from the exhaust will make that part of your tunnel hot 3) I think it is so close to the side it will actually back pressure the exhaust some.

Thanks for the tip. I was trying to avoid snow filling it. It will be a easy fix. Loosed a clamp and twist.
Thanks again

Since you brought it up. Depending on how much "stress" that back hanger will see, you might want to incrrease the "washer surface" with a piece of flat plate or similar so you don't crack the top of your tunnel. It is not very thick material.

I think it will be alright. I almost did not out anything there. It was already pretty solid. The turnout is actually riveted to the muffler. The clamp was a add on in the finishing touches. Thought a little bit more support could not hurt anything. It does have big fender washers top and bottom. Will for sure be on the things to check list. Of course I may be secretly looking for a excuse to change tunnel extensions and do a tapered tunnel.

No, Unfortunately I do not. The hard part was the inlet flange on the muffler. The ZX10 has four studs like a two brothers street bike exhaust. It took some imagination to make it work. I could not beat the price, so that is where I started.
Fire me off a question or If you are ever in to big city of Anchortown, in a eve or a weekend I could show it to you. At least with the rear lifted in the air in the garage.
I also forgot to mention, I dropped to a 21 top from a 22 and changed some pins in the primary. Do not know what they were, Drew and Anchorage Yami handed em to me and said run these you will like em. Since everything he touches seem to run great, I just did it. What little I rode it in the yard and uhh the street it has come to life.

you had a 22 top gear?
I thought all the MTX came with the 20?
I was thinking of going 18 like the 2010's

You're right. 08 & 09 MTXs came with 20-40 gearing.

I do not know why, but my dealer put em together with taller gearing. It may be because of our altitude. Which we ride from sea level to 3-4K. It never was really sluggish or anything. Won a lot of side by side races with my buddies. I may still drop to 20. We will see.
