Conditions are certainly not great but the sled ran good. Rode pretty easy most of the day, did crack it open on a road and hit 121 very easily, had more to go for sure wasn't topped out. I'd say it sounds most like a jet plane more anything else I can think of. It's all stock so far. Handled good for being on crappy trails, some push on corners. Definitely has a big power surge at about 50 mph. Skis should last forever they never touch the ground. Makes my rx1 seem slow. Clutch is noisy for sure, heated grips work very good. Definitely slides you back on the seat alot. There is no way you can pin the throttle on the trail you'd be in the trees in a very shot time. Very easy to get air over even the smallest bump. On hard pack I bet a big wheelie would be easy to do, alot of spinning going on right now. Overall very powerful and good handling, so far can't find anything wrong that a few adjustments won't fix. I wore my tether all day don't trust myself yet, and don't feel like looking like a dumbass if my grip on the bars lets go. You better have strong arms to ride this beast.

What tether??? Am I missing something?

The one they give you at the dealership when you hand them 45.00, then you spend a hour installing because the directions aren't clear about how to release the pins.

Ah! I see. Might be a good idea. Don't really care for this style of panic button versus the old push down pull up.

My neighbor has a remote tether on his Polaris, all he does is carry a key fob looking thing in his pocket and that kills the sled if he falls off. Not sure where he got it.

Oh the directions were clear enough, just that the dealer told us we should get the pin release tool, but we said no,we will get by w/out it,well listen to your dealer,as it is a pain in the butt to get the correct size pin in there to release it,but we got it,just took us an extra hour lol.

Hard to believe Yamaha still is not installing tether as standard equipment on Turbo Sled , rather see tether than the power port .
Tether was the second things I installed on Turbo Apex , A-arm/Spindle first :o|

FYI to anyone installing a tether, a paper clip is much cheaper than the pin tool, and works great for releasing the pins.

I used a torch tip cleaner kit to release the pin, that was easy compared to pulling the plastic plate towards you 1/8 inch, there is no great way to grab it, I ended up hooking it with my 5 dollar o ring removal hook.

121 on the BTX? ...I heard 108, I got 95...but loose snow for me

Small needle nose pliers

Was this sled a Se or Le because they have different gearing. Se 121 mph is possible. Le should see 110 max.
