we got some snow the other night and i got my sled out,, less than 100 miles on Rx-1 slides and a new drive belt..

I was on a flat bare road with about 1inch of snow.. about half a mile long

Best i saw was 124 on the dreammeter.. funny thing is, if i accellerated slowly i could only hit 113, but if i nailed it from a rolling start i would hit over 120

I probobly could have gone faster, but i was running out of room quickly..

On snow (trails) i know i never hit higher than 115 last year! 109 the year before that..

my sled now has over 4500 miles now..

Congrats! I didn't get a chance to do much high speed running this weekend, but did manage to see 101 on the dream meter on about a foot of snow across the lake.

that's awesome, i think these machine get stronger with more miles on them, mine seemed last year to get faster after 3000 mi., maybe it was just me or maybe everything just loosened up, so less drag

I have'nt seen the real big numbers on the speedo sice the sled had 200 miles on it. The conditions of the lake have'nt been just right since, glare ice with a half inch of powder on it. 133 showing then.

Must be all that orange powdercoat and slydog bogies! ;)! :bling

120mph here!. The field had 3" of snow. Made a couple passes at around 90-110. Started out hard, but not wide open 1/2 mile run!

It has alot more!

Glad to heat that - you're the one person I've read that couldn't get high numbers. I agree with Alan - must be the powder coating! :yam:

welter

I know you have been searching for the speed Congrats.
Mine is 117-118 on snow no Ice or road runs yet

what is up with the RX1 slides are they different? worth the change

Yamadoo

Way to go, I knew your flying pumpkin could crush the 120 barrier. I saw 133 on a perfect ice road but my a**hole starts puckering at 120.

ive been told adding wheels to the front of the sled will add 2-4mph..

The rx-1 slides are narrower and allow more snow in thew the track.. Hense, better longer lasting slides..+

I believe in the extra mph gain from the marg. snow wheel kit.

With the kit installed since day 1, I put 1500 miles on stock hyfax and it looks like it'll be good for another 2000.
