Ok we got our 04 Rx-1 and i was just wondering if there was anything to look for that could cause a problem This thing is awsome now i finally can be part of the RX-1 gang any info would be appreciated

Watch the throttle, this sled has a lot of engine braking. Some people have lost control of their sled when they let off the throttle fast. The track does lock up at just about any speed with just the engine braking effect. Slowly release the throttle when slowing down.

BlueRX, that is a problem I never heard about but I agree that the engine breaking is something you have to get used to. What I found is that I used the brake a lot less because of the excellent engine breaking on the RX-1. The only problem was for the people behind me since they couldn't key on my break light when I was slowing down for a corner. :shock:

My buddies have the same problem with no brake light. I now use the brake lever for a light switch. Just so they don't run into me.

Yeah, I developed the same habit. The problem was that sometimes I forgot, and then they would fly through a corner.

i love the engine brake but when climbing if your thumb comes off throttle u slow down fast real fast
