With the tunnel protectors in , the ice build up cannot be helped. When pulled out the tunnel is absolutly clear.
As far as gas milage last year, the sled bested 98 miles ( didn't run outta gas) , that was after I put the 144 on. With the 1.25 spinning in most conditions the mpg was terrible.

No the tunnel was mostly clear of ice and snow (much less than my Attak), its the top of the running board I was talking about!

Really nice pics!! They look SO much better sitting on snow than on a concrete floor!

Hey Daranello, I know this may be a little off topic but I noticed in your pics that your front shocks have the GYT-R decals on them!! Did you put them on or did yours come with it? Most of the '09's, especially XT-X's don't have them, including mine!

I had to ask for them, my dealer gave them to me at no cost, they said Yamaha was going to cover them??

Got mine out for the first time in snow. Only put on 25 miles and they were all in the meadow because the trails do not open until after hunting season. Here's a couple pics.

I hope it dosent build into ice covering the taillight.

It does cover the tailight but I also moved the light so in the stock location it should be fine. You can still see it through the snow covering it.
Those are the factory skis with white ski-doo loops.

If you make the first pic bigger, you can see the taillight through the snow covering it. I was also riding in about 18 inches of powder. I think on the hardpack trail there will be minimal build up.
