Guys....I see these things advertised all over the place. Do they actually work or are they kind of a gimmick? Anyone have any experience with them?

I use them. They seem to work for me. As Sled Dog has stated, my mpg increased by 3, engine ran smoother and better response. This was in a 96 vmax. I've put them in my 01 srx. As far as that, I really haven't noticed a difference. Go figure?????

Thanks guys....yeah Sled Dog you are right. I should have searched first.

:o| :drink:

And WOW....what a POST...I don't remeber this one! ;)!

It is quite a post, and Snowsweat has 90 days to return the Fitch if he finds it doesn't work.

Why would anyone question Freddy's credibility? Aren't the ECP's proof enough?

:ORC I could spend $50 on wear-bars, hyfax, belts, plugs, dry-gas, stabil, (pistons, rings, and gaskets for a Ski-doo) and many other disposible items as well (cheeseburgers, beer, dinner and movies @$16.00 for a family of 3) so how can $50 for something that is reusable be all that bad? I think 90 days is enough time to remove it if it doesn't do anything for ya.

Actually, I didn't buy one, I made my own! I took all of the shavings from under my drill press (all kinds of stuff) and melted it down into pellets and stuck it in my gas tank of my Bentley. Now I get 7 miles per gallon (up from 4), and the engine quit burning oil. Also, the radio gets more stations.

Seriously, this topic is old. I'll buy one when ANY MAJOR MANUFACTURER OF ANYTHING installs it from the factory.

To each his own. Remember, these are just opinions with no reasonable proof. As they say, opinions are like #*$&@... , eveybodys got one.
I rolled the dice, and came up happy.

They absolutely, positively work. I conducted my own dyno and in field tests to prove to myself that they do indeed work. My big block Ford motorhome towing my race trailer has to improve a lot on fuel mileage just to suck! I installed an inline FFC on it and it improved 1.8 MPG! I also put one on my Ford F150 pickup and the fuel mileage improved 1.6 MPG.

There has never been a time where we don't pick up power on the dyno either. They become difficult to sell to anyone that doesn't know and trust me because they sound too good to be true. The FFC is one of the very rare exceptions to the rule. I wouldn't never sell anything that is a gimmick, but I'm afraid that this products works so well that I became a distributor for the company.

If you don't own the FFC, you are the only one losing.

I just put them in EVERY small engine I have. I have talked to a TON of people who swear by them.

I have them in my:

Sled, Power-Washer, Snowblower & Lawn-Mower.

This issue is beating a dead horse as non of us know how exactly they work. Who cares as long as they work. I know mine works by the fuel mileage and the way it runs. If you dont think they work then dont buy them. If you want to know exactly how they work hire some people and reverse engineer it.

People need to do a search before posting like the site rules ask us too. This has been talked about quite a bit on other threads of the past!

Here is a link to one I found

Just my very humble one mans opinion. I dont think that the rule is intended to stop new threads like this at all. Yes we do have a few threads from the past on the Fitch (3-4 where it was the main topic in the last 12 months). But it is still an interesting topic to me and perhaps others. If we were to enforce the rule to the extreme, then we would be stopping too many interesting topics that can deserve to come up again, and if you think about it, we have discussed most topics at least one time before. Strict enforcement would mean we would have a screeching halt to new threads. Difficult call and perhaps we need to discuss it. SD it is a valid point, just if we clamp down too tight, some of the fun goes away.
Also I think the rule is more for new members, who ask the same basic questions we have discussed 50 times already.
For example do we want every 10th guy to have his own "how many studs should I use" thread? I think the rule is more for that type of thing.

Yeah the Fitch looks like it has some value, did everybody see the Snow Tech quote?

Well this whole thread could be added to the other and fit in perfectly. Why cant one subject and its thread just be extended. In fact if one searched for a thread like this and read it 8 times out of 10 he would find the answer to his question before he posted it.

Ehhh, you mean add on to the 5 page thread, wont hurt to break it down to 2 threads I dont think. Your point is a reasonable one. i'll check and see where the line is drawn on that one

Snow tech I think said something like

We continue to have great results with the goofy little Fitch fuel catalist.
We use it in all our sleds and drop it in all our gas cans

cant find the exact quote
