I've got 14,000 miles on my 06. I've never had an engine problem, although lately when starting, it would run rough for a few seconds. I did a cold start the other day, and it was running rough so I cracked the throttle a small amount to increase the RPM. It imediatly died. I tried to start it many times and it would almost start, then stop. I tried starting fluid, but did not help.
My friend, a retired auto mechanic, came over. He said if I held the throttle wide open it would stop gas from flowing, and be in limp mode. We lifted the sled track off the floor (on a chain fall), and the motor started, and the RPM was pretty high so I let go of the throttle. After that it started and ran normally. It still runs rough on a cold start, and I leave it till it clears up. Warm starts are good.
Anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it?
