The 05 Rage I purchased had residue behind the glass on the speedo side from when the gauge would fog on the previous owner. He said that his dealer re-installed the rubber boot on the back and the fogging stopped. That doesn't appear to be the fix because it fogged up on me yesterday. My question for you guys; is this something that the YES warranty will cover?
Actually, what is the fix and can I take the gauge apart to clean the inside of the glass? It has a big water spot :o|

don't try to clean the lens. the inside surface has a coating, almost like a clear rubber. if you try to clean it the coating will ball up and rub off and make it worse.

what you can try is to take the gauge apart and let it dry out competely. reassemble the gauge and get the rubber wiring boot on tight (maybe add a little RTV silicone sealant around where the wires enter the boot to get a better seal.

The new cover with gasket can be purchased for around $25. I had the same problem and after putting the new one on the problem was fixed. There is a fog spray put on at the factory and if you try to clean it and reapply a fog spray it doesn't work. I learned this the hard way.
