Did anyone else notice the picture on page 72 of the March 2004 SnowTech magazine under the section called "Improved RX Ergonomics"? The picture shows a fourth wheel kit installed on the RX-1, but no mention of this in the review. Is this now a standard option?

It is a nice thought, but when the production sleds arrive without it Yamaha will say (that was a prototype it is subject to change). :moon:

My curiosity forced me to contact SnowTech yesterday and I learned that the photo was actually provided by Yamaha as a representation of the 2005 RX-1. So it seems Yamaha accidentally provided a picture of the stock RX-1 with the fourth wheel installed.

suisse sledder by saying accidental do you mean yamaha gave them the wrong picture or is the production skid?

Yamaha provided the picture to SnowTech. It appears Yamaha sent the wrong picture because SnowTech is not aware of the 2005 RX-1 coming with a stock fourth wheel. I also checked the Yamaha web site and all 2005 models show only three wheels per side.
