Fox Float 3 on Viper???

And we were sold on the fact only the SE would be equipped with them and they are only available as a spring order.

If thats not the case then why even bother with a spring order snowcheck... if its got nothing special. ??

Yellowknife says:
Another off topic quiz (thx for the answer on the last one)
And apologies if I missed this if it was already discussed…
Regarding the SRVIPER XTX SE, Yamaha USA’s website indicates the front shocks are Fox Float 3′s. Yamaha Canada’s website indicates the front shocks are Fox Float 2′s.
Will that difference exist on models being delivered to dealerships this month?
Cheers,
YK

My understanding: The Vipers will come with Float 3′s, for the record, there really is little difference between the 2 and 3, it is just the latest version not an evolution. I wouldn’t be too surprised to find that there was a small cost savings in production of the 3′s but in marketing terms that means the latest greatest thing since the wringer washer. Between you and me IMHO … the performance between 2 and 3 is virtually the same cheers cr

The performance factor might only be slightly different But the float 3's updates are more for durability reasons which I would much rather have seeing my buddies crossfire with leaky shocks. Also just to say I had the new float 3's ;) But really... With how much more were paying for sleds up here it would really be a let down if we got even less value!

And yellowknife.. I havent been following you over the summer but this you looking into it mean theres a good chance your new sled will be a yamaha?

I'd say there's a 40/60 chance right now. I'm still in negotiations of sorts.

I myself am torn between the indy 800 and viper rtx. Never had a 4 stroke before but i dont think I could deal with all the 2 stroke issues. Either way this will be my first NEW sled and cant wait!

That's awesome. I've been looking at the big 4, kind of a dream-list... not impressed with most anyone's in season offerings when it comes to colours/gfx packages. The red/black Viper happens to be my fav - but I don't know what spring order options the other big 3 offered - i'm sure i'll find something on the floors that i like. The other thing missing from most was a track/ski setup i like (medium depth lug and wide ski's) Viper has that. If I'm going to drop 15+K CDN on a new sled, I want to be happy with the looks. I like things that don't show dirt and grime and scratches. Some colours are better than others at that.

I'm excited for you for your new sled! Cheers
