I have a 07 Rtx I just got two weeks ago. I put a 13mm sway bar on it last night and tightened my limiter strap one hole. I want to get the a arms parellel to the ground. My floats are set at 65 psi. The manual says air pressure range is from 50 to 150 psi. Where are you guys setting thes shocks to get the best corner and the a arms parellel to the ground?

Any one getting hammered with snow like we are?

Thanks for the help

06 rtx Floats at 30lbs no problems, just better handling. Haven't adjusted limiter yet.

Well set the shocks to 50 psi. A arms are still not parellel to the ground, handling was definitly better with the swaybar and limiter strap adjustment Front shocks now dont seem like you can hammer the bumps as hard as before almost like they are bottoming out. Other than that got stuck in the deep snow and belt made tons of noise getting it out and now the track is ratcheting so now I need to tighten up the track any suggestions for that we have a big weekend of riding up north and would like everything ready to rock.

Clean your clutches with scotch Brite to remove any glazing from burning the belt. Don't spray anything on them either. Replace belt if you think you may have burned it at all. Not just for saftey, but if you wore a couple spots in it, it may cause vibration and/or damage to the clutches.
I don't run the Floats, so sorry I have no input there.

I run mine right in the middle of 35 and 40 lbs. They are very close to level. And it rails on the turns compared to the 65 lbs I tried first.

Thanks I will try that stuff I also have the oil to change tomorrow night. We leave thursday morning should be a blast! Cant wait to see how fast this thing runs on the lake.

I am picking up a 07 rtx on thursday. I have a 13mm sway bar from my vector, will that work on the apex?

Don't forget it's geared for corner to corner and not top end. If your ratcheting take along a 19 mm for the big nut and 14 mm for the adj. , half turn on both sides till the ratcheting goes away. I went up one (tighter) on the limiter and I backed off the rear front shock about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in preload. Helped with ratcheting and going over the studder bumps IMO. As the lake racers do on here also drop your air pressure in the floats to 15 psi to drop the front but remember your pump so you can go back up to 35 psi. Try 50/55 psi too but I found it would have big time ski lift.

35-40lbs gets the A arms LEVEL TO GROUND...

best overal Ive found for flat cornering AND still have plenty of travel for big bumps..i run mine here thru the big junk and flat groomed stuff.
