Hi. I want to upgrade my Fox Float 3 with an evol upgrade kit. Do anyone know what kit fits 2015 Sr viper mtx with 38" front? Best Regards Viktor Hoigari.

Go to Hygear, plug in your sled and model year. They make a Dual pressure kit for your float 3’s, which makes your shocks into Evol’s for $300, and you don’t have to take the shocks apart, if you get an evol kit from fox you have to take the whole shock apart. I’ve had evols and float 3’s with the dual pressure kit. It’s a big improvement over the base float 3’s and I can’t tell the difference. Both work very well. But for ease of use I would go with the Hygear kit because you can install it yourself with some basic tools (snap ring pliers, 6mm deep socket, Allen wrenches).

Thank you for sharing your experience with both hygear and and Fox. I have to check out the dual pressure kit...Go to Hygear, plug in your sled and model year. I believe the float 3 EVOL kit you would need for the front shocks with spherical bearing bushings is 803-00-785. If it had straight bushings then it would be kit 803-00-784.
Both kits are the same except for how the top cap mounts to the sled.

Just so everyone is clear, Hygear will fit up to '15 front ends with the old style upper arms. If you have upgraded to the 16 mountain upper arms and spindles in with the 38" or 40", or if you have a 16 or up with the new style swept back spindles the Hygear kit will not clear the upper arms. You can run the shocks upside down, but that puts the Hygear in harms way low and ahead of the spindle. I have run the Hygear on my 42" front end and liked it, and the new 16 40" front end with the Hygear Kit on the shocks upside down with no ill affects. I now have gone to the 16 38" front end and am running the fox EVOL upgrade with 90 degree caps, and there is little difference between them other than a bit more sir volume in the Hygear kit. If you go with EVOL on 16 and up new style mountain front end, you need to get the 90 degree caps so that the EVOL canisters clear the arm.

I think you'r right. I have the shocks with spherical bearing, and 90 degree eylets is only needed for year 16 and up, if i get this right. I can't find the kit with 90 degree eylets, but the 785 kit has the 0 degree that i need. Thanks for shearing..I believe the float 3 EVOL kit you would need for the front shocks with spherical bearing bushings is 803-00-785. If it had straight bushings then it would be kit 803-00-784.

I'm not sure if a 90 degree EVOL kit is available. The newer spindle sleds that come with fox floats already have the EVOL canisters installed from the factory.
@SnoNinja , did you install the Evol from an upgrade kit with the 90 degree caps or did you find the 90 caps separate from a kit? Any part numbers ?

I Put those on for SnoNinja. Talked Carver into swapping out the regular caps to the 90deg so yes they can be ordered seperate.I'm not sure if a 90 degree EVOL kit is available. The newer spindle sleds that come with fox floats already have the EVOL canisters installed from the factory.

Thanks Steve, I figured they could be ordered separately but don't believe they are available in an EVOL upgrade kit. I believe all the applications that would require the 90 cap already come with them installed from the factory so there is no need for an upgrade kit.
I looked on Carver's site but didn't see the 90 cap listed. Also checked Hygear with no luck. Any idea what the part number is for that cap?

I accidently sent the slip with the shocks. SnoNinja will post it I would think. Thanks Steve, I figured they could be ordered separately but don't believe they are available in an EVOL upgrade kit. Item No. is 206-61-204-2 Body Cap, EVOL 3, 90 degree, non rebound adj., no heim grooves. Note that I don't believe that this will work with spherical bearings. It does work with straight bushings, and with the spherical bushings that came on the 15 XTX LE models.I accidently sent the slip with the shocks. SnoNinja will post it I would think.
