Freeride track opinions

Because if the track have been 1" wider it would not have gotten inside the wheel and meet the tracktension bolt.

Yes I will also add wheel number 4. But I think what happened to epsonPZ should be a warranty issue. If that had happened to my sled I would not accepted anything else than a new track free of charge from my dealer.

im taking it to my dealer on monday, i think it will be covered by warranty. I will defenetly have another freeride, best track i ever had.

Latest pics before turbo installation and 8" wheels. I made the tunnel 30 mm longer ;)!

Have had enough of my stock track so I will order the freeride tomorrow.

Polaris used a 14" wide track on their prox 440 year 2004 with 44mm lugs. But this would probebly be a owerkill for a stock phazer..

Warning! It wasn't enough to cut off 15 mm of the rails to clear 9-tooth BRP anti-ratchets... :o|
Someone (who said he had done the same thing himself) told me 10 mm would be enough. BS :die

1" is probably enough...

This was not enough:

You think you should be careful cutting those rails so much shorter. I think that there is a possibility that you might run the tip of them right throug the track because of that flat angle you are getting on them.

The rails have the same lenght on those two pics, only difference is that on the first one the rear of the sled is beeing pushed down, but on the second pic the sled hangs freely in the air. I simply "forgot" to test by compressing only the front of the rails. That was were the problem was.

They are only cut 15 mm which is not very much. The black tip was about 50 mm long before cutting.
Probably would another 5 mm do the trick, but I was told to cut 10 mm total...which would probably have been cathastrophical.

Last solution is to get a anti stab kit (wheels on an extra axle in the front of the rails).

By the way, forgot to tell: The skis lifted as never before with the long Freeride, even with the higher gearing I have (20 tooth). This little sled really can accelerate hard even without turbo

Yes a saw that you had compressed the suspension but you must keep in mind that when you are riding that sled and under weight transfer/ski lift its only the rear shock that would be compressed. The front shock would be "fully open" Adding extra wheels in front would not help on what I'm talking about. If you cut to much of those rails I think there is a possibility that they can run right through your track. I have seen it happen.

Glad that it works well!! I will order myself a freeride, first thing I'l do tomorrow.

Ok. Thats not what you told before editing previous massage. Think you said you should add extra wheels from yamaha and thats what I based my answer on...

Never seen such a thing as shown in your posted link.
