I have them on the airbox lid and I did notice a gain with them. I used the air pods for a season and had water issues since I went to the skinz I haven't. I think some on the back of the side panels would be a great addition. As far as durability they seem to be pretty strong both in stick and in not tearing I do a lot of bush bashing and haven't had any issues. Now I am off to buy some for the side panels lol.

I would like to see pics of the Frogzkins top and exhaust side vents (there are pics of the clutch side). Hopefully once their website is back up they will have more info.

BombaPolaYama said:thanks that's okay don't go through any trouble finding out. Some pics of where you put them would be helpful though. Any problems with durability, etc? I'm thinking if some were put on the front of the panels to give better airflow it may cause a problem with damage from twigs and stuff.
Edit: A link to a site that sells the universal vents.

I Didn't see a place that has their site updated for the Yamaha ones - must be a newer product.
here is where i put mine. they're out of the way in the front kinda behind the a-arms for some protection. 1 on the side of clutch cover.
didn't find any pics of the other ones, but i have one 2" vent on the backside of both side panels.

I think I'll get a few of the universal ones for the side panels once I measure and see what will fit. Maybe you can post some pice when you get it done.soul_hammer said:I have them on the airbox lid and I did notice a gain with them. - What size and how many did you use on the airbox? Did you have to modify anything else to regulate the fuel/air mixture?
thanks,

These frog skins, do they abseloutly stop water from getting in or does snow dust and water still work its way in?

Is there that much heat generated to use these?
I've only had my sled for 1 season and no issues in 1900 miles with overheating (fan installed) but would like to cover the exposed radiator with something.
Does the holes in the airbox really add anything as well? More air, more power thing?
I have the Uni pod kit kit but haven't drilled the holes yet, they can let water in - basically only a sponge. The Froggys might be a better choice there as pictured. Thanks guys!

If you want to cover the Rad for protection I would get the rad protector from Yamaha. I doubt the Frog's wont protect it from a branch/chunk of ice.
