I am considering the purchase of an 07 Attak.
Is there any advise any one can give me about what type of accessories they would recommend.
I live in rural Alaska and my riding will be on and off trail both marignal and deep snow both rivers and mtns. I guess a little bit of everything.
I will be doing some cross country and overnight traveling and the temps could be -20 to -40 on the trail.
Also I used to have real problems with my RX-1 overheating and was tempted to put on a heat exchanger. However I resisted the temtation and used and additive called Water Wetter which stopped my overheating problems. My question here is has Yamaha fixed the overheating issues with the new Attak?

I had 2 attaks; an 06 & a 07. Same sled but yet different. My 06 never ever overheated. My 07 overheated a lot(even with watter wetter) but was faster & got better fuel mileage then my 06...luck of the draw? They are a handfull in deep snow & you have to be physically strong & have good technique to make em work in real deep snow!

I don't believe you can go wrong with a rear heat exchanger. Relatively cheap and easy to install. Cuts down on ice buildup also. Part # 8EP- RHECR-KT
