Front and back side of Sidewinder 998 engine

Hi!

I'm upgrading a 998 Sidewinder engine. The pistons are JE Pistons. For orientation of the piston rings the datasheet shows only engine front, engine left and engine right in the diagram. So my question is: What is front and back side of the engine (PTO and MAG side)?

exhaust is rear, pto is left and mag is right.

I found out that they always refer to PTO as backside and MAG to frontside of the engine. But correct that the physical orientation is like you say.
