I just took the front heat exchanger out on my 2008 apex rtx lost a pick and well you know what happened I would really like to do the fix myself to save a bit on money If possible any pointers would be greatly appreciated not real sure how to go about fixing it but want to try before taking to dealer Thanks Rob

Hey, I actually did the same thing, twice in the last 2 years now on my sled. I was up in Eagle River both times, well, I went up there the first time knowing I had the issue because he was the only one that said he could fix it. The first fix still lasts, the 2nd one was literally 2" away from the first one. But I HIGHLY recommend him.
Three Lakes Steel in three Lakes, WI. Give them a call. Very good. He will ship via UPS if you're not planning on getting up in that area. Can't say enough about him though, he saved my snowmobile vacation now twice.

just had my front exchanger tig welded from a pulled stud. Only put on 15 miles since but all seems ok. going up to northern Maine next thursday. After the skid was pulled, it was tig welded on the machine.
